Love is like a good song. It makes you happy for as long as it lasts. But the song will end at some point, no matter if it’s good or bad, it will end. And I suppose if you really like this song you can try putting it on repeat, but if you keep hearing it over and over, you’ll eventually get bored of it. It will just be the same song all over again, nothing different about it. It will end and you’ll play it again. The whole thing sounds quite pointless. And that’s how I see relationships. You may be with someone, but the affection will last only as long as there’s desire. And no matter if your significant other is good or bad, the love will eventually run out. And you can keep trying to fall in love with that person again and again, but really nothing will change. It will never be like the first time you “heard the song”, because it can never be the first time. The relationship will end up boring, and pointless. So why do we even bother?
